The uniform and accoutrements of the European Sergeants and Constables will be sent home with the Deputy Superintendent of Police, who will have charge of the party at the celebration.

On the termination of this special service Mr Badeley will be granted leave of absence; I therefore suggested in my telegram above referred to that Mr Wodehouse might be granted an extension of leave in order to enable him to return to the Colony in charge of the Indian and Chinese contingent in which case I think it would be fair that the cost of his passage should be defrayed from Public funds and that he should be allowed to draw full
